I love when my listings are decorated for the holidays. 🎄
Warm cider on the counter, Christmas music playing, the smell of fresh pine, it creates a feeling buyers connect with the second they walk in.
And sellers always ask me, “Is it okay to decorate?” Absolutely. It adds warmth, emotion, and that cozy first impression you can’t manufacture.
BUT… keep the holiday décor out of your listing photos. A Christmas tree in your pictures timestamps the property, and if the home is still on the market months later, buyers immediately know how long it’s been sitting.
Decorate your home. Just don’t date your listing. 😉
